I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! This year the travelling back and forth for Christmas dinners really tired me out. For New Years I’m staying home with the boy and having a relaxing evening in.
2014 has been a fabulous year but I am a sucker for a fresh start. I try to take new years not as a time where I have to start anew but a time where I pick a few new things to work on throughout the year. I try to pick goals that are things I feel I should be working on anyways and put more emphasis on them. I usually pick two or three things to work on since too many can be overwhelming. This way I can look back at them every couple of months and ask myself if I’ve really tried to stay close to my goals or not.
1. Make friends more of a priority. I sometimes get caught up in school and everything else in life that I forget to make time to have coffee dates or get togethers with my friends. This is at the top of my list for the new year.
2. Only buy 12 clothing items and 4 pairs of shoes in 2015. I know I’ll get two separate reactions to this statement. One being people thinking that it’s crazy I would buy more than 12 items anyways and the other being people wondering how I can be a fashion blogger and only buy 12 items. I’m getting on the slow fashion movement which means buy less often but better quality. This is going to be a real challenge for me but I’m going to push myself to make it work (and heck yes I’m going to get everything on my wish-list before the new year comes)!
3. Spend only 2 hours a day watching television. I’m a MAJOR binge watcher and I could easily go through a whole season of a show in a day. I know this isn’t healthy but I love it. In the new year I’m going to try and control my addiction and replace it with reading and listening to music!
Talk to you in the new year!
